FAQ

Q: Can I order directly from the website?

A: To order from the website, you will need to create an account. You can do this by following the Register link. Once you have registered and signed in, you will be able to see your allocated prices and place an online order by adding products to your Basket.

  

Q: What are the delivery charges?

A: Our delivery charges are based on each item’s weight. The standard delivery charge is £11.85 per consignment up to 10kg. For larger items and bulk purchases, we will be able to provide you with a quote for each order and/or item. Please contact a member of our sales team for further details.

 

Q: What are the standard delivery times?

A: Our non-stocked items have various delivery times, which you will be notified of at the time of quotation or order confirmation. Our stocked items have a standard delivery time of 2 – 3 days; next day delivery is also available along with other premium services such as Timed or Same Day.

 

Q: Is there any warranty on equipment? 

A: We offer a two year warranty on all new Medline laboratory equipment and CETI microscopes with additional warranty packages on all other equipment (please contact us for further details). We also offer multiple service plans and extended warranty packages.

 

Q: What are Medline’s ISO/UKAS accreditations?

A: We are ISO 9001:2008 (Quality Management System) and ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental Management System) accredited. We work with ISO and UKAS accredited laboratories around the country and are experienced in providing solutions that are up to the rigorous standards demanded by these regulations.

 

Q: On which frameworks are Medline set up? 

A: We are currently on NHS Supply Chain and UK SBS.

 

Q: Can someone provide me with technical support/guidance if I am not sure what equipment I need?

A: Yes, we will be glad to support you and, if necessary, organise a demo. Please email your details (including your postcode) to enquiries@medlinescientific.com and we will get in touch with you. Alternatively, we partner with well-established UK based suppliers that can also provide technical advice and demonstrations, installation and training where necessary.

 

Q: Do Medline offer servicing/spare parts and servicing contracts for equipment?

A: Yes – through our designated Service department. We offer servicing contracts on our own brand, but we can recommend service providers for other lines of equipment.

 

Q: Do Medline sell ex-demo/refurbished equipment?

A: We sometimes have ex-demo/refurbished equipment available. You can contact us to find out if we have any in stock available.

 

Q: How can I access technical information on the website?

A: Data sheets and instruction manuals can be supplied on request, please call or email for further details.

  

Q: Can Medline supply products that are currently not visible on the website?

A: Yes – if you let us know your requirements, then it is highly possible that we can supply products to meet your needs.
